Richard "Chip" Fox
Associational Mission Strategist (AMS)
Richard (Chip) Fox was born in Pensacola FL where he grew up in Gulf Breeze Florida graduating from Gulf Breeze High School in 1973. He attended Pensacola State College and University of Mobile and graduated with his BA degree in 1978. Attending Gulf Breeze First Baptist Church, he was converted to Christ at the age of nine. He surrendered to full-time pastoral ministry at age 19 and was licensed to preach by his home church. On June 24, 1978 he was married to the former Janet Maves of Pensacola Florida. Their marriage was blessed with three children, two sons Rick and Daniel, and daughter Jennifer. After completing college, he and his wife moved to Ft. Worth, TX to attend the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Upon graduation with his MDIV in December of 1982, he moved back to Santa Rosa County to start pastoring the Avalon Baptist Church Plant and serving as Associate Minister of Milton First Baptist Church. He led church plant Avalon, to become fully constituted and built its first Sanctuary and Educational facilities. In 1989 he became the pastor of Jay First Baptist Church. After 16 years of serving the Jay Church in January 2006, he was called to be the Director of Missions for the Santa Rosa Baptist Association where he presently serves. He and his wife Janet live in Pace FL and are enjoying time with their 4 grandchildren. Chip enjoys boating, playing guitar and serving the churches of the Santa Rosa Baptist Association.
Patti is a Military Brat who grew up in Milton, FL. She is a Graduate of Milton High School and later graduated from Sawyer College, Ventura, CA - specializing in Administrative and Secretarial disciplines. Patti considers her work a ministry as she seeks to "Serve Jesus by Serving His Churches."
She is married to her highschool sweetheart, has two sons and is a proud grandma. She enjoys and is energized by all things "nature"--gardening, camping, hiking and just being outdoors.
